DAYTONA BEACH POLICE HEADQUARTERS
DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA

COMPLETED:
SIZE:

2008
97,000 GSF

This project was completed in association with Hawkins, Hall & Ogle Architects of Daytona Beach, Florida.

Designed to accommodate all divisions of the Daytona Beach Police Department less some elements of the Special Operations division involving marine and boardwalk patrol divisions, this 97,000 square foot facility comprises three floors.

At the City’s request the aesthetic was to reflect the prevalent Florida style in the region. Though inviting to the public, and encompassing two community use rooms that afford convenient public access, the building is designed with a high level of security throughout. Access and monitoring of the building is state-of-the-art, network based and programmable. The system allows monitoring of any interview in progress at any authorized computer workstation.

This project commenced with a need assessment study in advance of design services. Design services only began after conclusion of a lengthy site selection process by the City of Daytona Beach.
